The Mission

MicroTau's mission is to improve the efficiency of the global aviation fleet, saving billions in fuel and megatonnes of CO2 every year. As we enter our next phase of growth, MicroTau needs a full-time Talent & People Specialist to lead end-to-end recruitment, ensuring we hire exceptional talent across research, engineering, manufacturing, and business operations. In addition to recruitment, you will lead people operations initiatives that help shape MicroTau’s culture and employee experience. You will report to our Chief Operating Officer.

What You Will Do

  • Lead people operations initiatives such as HR policies and procedures, employee engagement, performance review cycles, compensation benchmarking, workforce planning, and hiring roadmaps

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements and candidate selection criteria

  • Own end-to-end employee lifecycle including sourcing, screening, interview coordination, reference checks, off er preparation, onboarding, and off boarding

  • Source candidates through LinkedIn, professional networks, referrals, and targeted outreach

  • Support the development of job descriptions and interview frameworks and processes

  • Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for current and future roles

  • Coordinate and attend recruitment events, career fairs, and industry networking opportunities as relevant

  • Maintain accurate recruitment and employment records, including interviews notes and hiring documentations

What Success Looks Like

  • First Month: You will have developed a strong understanding of MicroTau’s mission, technology, and organisational structure, built relationships with hiring managers and key stakeholders, and become familiar with our recruitment tools, processes, and systems. You will take ownership of active roles, begin sourcing and screening candidates, and review existing people operations practices to identify early opportunities for improvement

  • First Six Months: You will independently manage end-to-end recruitment across engineering, manufacturing, and operation roles, building and maintaining a strong talent pipeline aligned to business priorities. You will refi ne recruitment processes and candidate experience, while also supporting people operations initiatives such as performance review cycles, employee engagement activities, policy updates, and workforce planning

  • First Year: You will be a trusted partner to the leaders across the business, delivering high quality hiring outcomes and establishing scalable recruitment practices that support ongoing growth. You will play an active role in shaping MicroTau’s people and operations culture, contributing to hiring plans, organisational design, and continuous improvement of talent and people practices as the company scales

About You

  • 3+ years experience in a talent acquisition or a similar role

  • Bachelor's degree in human resource management or a related field

  • Demonstrated experience in full-cycle recruiting

  • Knowledge of HRIS and ATS platforms (we are currently implementing Deel)

  • Experience using LinkedIn Talent Solutions to proactively source candidates

  • Strong capability in documenting processes and staying across industry trends

  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving startup environment where priorities evolve

  • Experience in talent acquisition within a deep-tech or high-growth startup is highly desirable

  • Experience in a People & Culture or HR advisory role is highly desirable

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Interest in hiring technical roles across research, engineering, and manufacturing
